Like many others I'm obsessed with watching Youtubers, from the 'big' channels such as The Saccone-Jolys and The Shaytards, to smaller less known channels as Umbumgo, Katie&Baby, and then my sister Gemmavaughan1. She was the one who got us into it; well more Jack before me.
It was his thing from the beginning and I was just there doing a few bump shots haha. But then all of sudden I became hooked, and really got into editing the clips and sorting out the videos. Once Indie came along and Jack was back at work he didn't really have time to do much to our channel anymore so I kind of took over! I now do all of the editing, it's only on Windows Movie Maker as it's free haha, but I would love one day to get something better (well only if we carry on!).
I love looking back on the videos, especially my pregnancy one as I honestly can't remember what it's like to be pregnant anymore, it's crazy! Seeing little Indie is also amazing too, you can really watch her grow throughout the videos, and I have memories of her I can keep forever! I've managed to capture things such as her first smile and the first time she rolled over, which I don't think I would have done if I didn't do videos for YouTube. We didn't start for the money or to get famous, but because it's fun and a great way to capture memories.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It's not about how many views you get, or how many subscribers you have, it's just a great way to keep memories of your life, especially of little ones :)!
Feel free to check out our channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdm4_MjQHeuH2GlmR26pGSg and I hope to find more bloggers come into the vlogging world to add to my subscriber list haha.
Thats so lovely!! If our internet wasn't so limited here its definitely something I would do more of!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely recommend it :) x
DeleteI am very tempted by vlogging but I'm not sure I'm confident enough - yet! The more I read about it, the more I want to do it :-) Thanks for sharing, I'm off to have a look at your channel now! #BinkyLinky
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's great, I'm not very confident, but I think with time you get much better with it :) x
DeleteI have thought about adding the odd video to my blog but I am not very technical so I worry it will be to hard and take to much time, plus I think that I need more confidence too!
ReplyDeleteI mainly use my iphone so it's pretty easy, I'm rubbish with technology too haha :) x
DeleteI started blogging first and then started my you tube channel. It's a great way of showing people that you are a real person and also great for reviews. Thanks for linking up to the #binkylinky
