Photobox Canvas | Review

Friday, 6 March 2015

You're all probably well aware that Mother's Day is this month. It's always been a special day to me, my mum's definitely an inspiration and is a super mum in my eyes! Since having Indiana it's become even more special, as I've got to experience it as a mummy myself! This year will be my second Mother's Day, and although I'll be working, I know Jack will make it a special occasion for me.

To celebrate the day Photobox are running a #MyMumandMe competition. The competition is to create a collage of pictures of you, your child and your mum. I chose to put mine onto canvas so I can display it proudly on the wall, however they also have a number of ways to collage your pictures.

I have thousands of pictures so deciding which ones to use took a pretty long time! However once I'd made my decision and uploaded them on the website, the process couldn't have been easier. There were so many different layouts to choose from, and you literally could just drag and drop your chosen pictures to the location you wanted them in. Once there you could edit them, move them around, zoom in or out - creating your perfect canvas!

I chose to display mine in three rows: one row of me and my mum, one row of me and Indiana, and one row of Indiana with her nanny. I also picked one older picture and one more recent one to show how our relationships have grown over time.

I am absolutely thrilled with the final product! It arrived so quickly and I was informed every step of the way of where my order was, and when it would arrive. It was well packaged (I completely forgot to take a picture I was too excited to see inside haha), with layers of plastic and cardboard.

The quality is fantastic too. I was especially impressed at how great the top left picture turned out as it is a very old picture and obviously the quality wasn't as good. The pictures are all bright and bold, and it's going to really stand out on the wall!

There are a couple of negatives I did find with the canvas. Firstly I wasn't so impressed with the finish on the back. The wooden frame isn't completely joint together and looks quite messy. The canvas is also stapled to the back (very securely yes), but again looks very messy, as it isn't covered. These aren't major problems though, as I know once on the wall you won't see these!

Overall I am over the moon with my canvas and would definitely consider ordering through Photobox again, especially as it was so easy to do! They are quite pricey - this canvas was priced at  £34.99, but I think for the size and quality it's definitely worth the money.

Dislaimer - I was sent this item for free for the purpose of this review. However all opinions expressed are honest and my own
