Ballet, Fallen Leaves & Vlogmas | #LittleLoves

Friday, 18 November 2016

I honestly cannot believe it's Friday again. Where are these weeks going?! It's been a relatively quiet week for us. Enjoying as many trips to the park before it gets absolutely freezing, snuggling with movies and hot chocolates, and getting reading for Indiana's birthday next Saturday.

Read

I finished The Girl on The Train by Sunday morning, after snatching every spare second to cosy up and read. I definitely wasn't expecting the twist, and I was gripped the whole way through. Now to see the film! With that finished, I started on my next book - Me Before You. I've not had as much time to sit and read this week, but I'm loving it already.

Watched

We took Indiana to her very first taste of Baby Ballet on Saturday, and she absolutely loved it. We didn't realise parents didn't stay, so I sat outside and watched her through the doors like a crazy mama. She looked so little and nervous, and it made me so emotional. I could tell just how excited she was to be there though, and she came out with the biggest grin on her face!

Heard

I heard the loveliest thing from a stranger on one of our trips to the park this week. It's just so true isn't it. Kids don't need fancy, expensive things. Give them a cardboard box or some fallen leaves, and they'll be over the moon!

Made

I've finally started on my Vlogmas plans! If you're unsure of what Vlogmas is, it's basically uploading videos every day in the run up to Christmas. We've done it for a few years now and it's so much fun (although hard work). Make sure to subscribe if you want to follow us this festive season :)

Wore

Every year I buy a new pair of ankle boots, and every live I practically live in them. This year is no different of course! Besides, Autumn is aaaall about crunchy leaves, snuggly scarfs and boots isn't it?

And Lastly...
Anyone else reaaaaally excited for Christmas this year? I absolutely cannot wait and have nearly all my presents already. I've decided I want a new tree though, so please do leave your suggestions - I can't find a nice one!

Have a lovely week :)

  1. Ankle boots are the best thing ever, aren't they? I used to be all about the knee boots but that has definitely changed now! Love what the lady said in the park - so true, and I always find that it's the elderly who come out with the nicest things when you're out &A about with kids. Hope you have a great weekend! #LittleLoves

  2. I am so excited for Christmas this year, it's lovely being off to have time to prepare and we've already made a good start on presents. There's lots of things in the diary to look forward to and I even went out and bought myself a party dress for the first time in a long time.
How good was The Girl On The Train?? xx

  4. I want to read both those books. I'm looking forward to Christmas too, my first with two daughters and my eldest really seems to understand the idea more this year. #littleloves

  5. Oh, I really enjoyed Me Before You - I need to see the film now. Glad Indiana enjoyed her baby ballet session, how cute. I'm excited for Christmas this year too - although our house is a complete and utter renovation hell. Enjoy your weekend xx

  6. Get the tissues ready for the end of Me Before You! I thought I'd found The Girl on the Train on my tv movie section last night, put it on and was watching all kinds of weirdness, turns out there's 2 of them. I can't wait for Christmas either. I'm such a big kid anyway but with a little one born on xmas day it makes it even more crazy. Hope you're having a nice weekend x
