What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
If we're talking children's films it has to be The Grinch - that movie is just SO quotable! Of all time though it's a toss up between The Holiday and Love Actually.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I remember it snowed on my sister's birthday back in 2009 - we went to London and came home to crazy amounts of snow. I'm not sure if it actually stuck around until Christmas day though.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Now we've got two little ones it just feels right having our own little family Christmas. So we spend the morning at home, enjoying presents and Christmas TV before lunch. We then go over to my parents in the afternoon for more presents and nibbles. We then spend Boxing Day with Jack's family.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Noooo! We have a Christmas Eve box which is full of little treats - some books, a new DVD, PJS, etc. Presents are for Christmas!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Rudolph and Murray (if you've seen Mickey's Twice upon a Christmas you'll get that one!).
Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
Christmas Eve Basket - I just love how it kicks off the festivities!
Stockings - This is Indie's first year of actually understanding stockings and presents (and Parker's first year of having a stocking!). So I'm so excited to see her little face on Christmas morning.
The food - Need I say more?
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
100% fake. I couldn't be dealing with the mess, or size of a real tree. Especially with the wild one Parker at the moment. Hopefully in years to come we'll get a real one though.
Treat - Treeslets, mmmmmmm!
Food - Christmas Dinner obviously!
Sweet - Give me aaaaaalll the Yule Log!
Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
Giving, especially now I have children. Seeing their excited little faces makes all the saving, buying, wrapping and money worth it. I love seeing Jack's reactions to my gifts too. I've managed to surprise him every year so far!
What is the best Christmas present you ever received?
I was clearly a very good girl last year, and Jack treated me to my Macbook. I don't know what I'd do without it now!
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
Jack and I both say we couldn't imagine going anywhere hot for Christmas. Or be away from family at all really! In a dream world I'd take us all up to a cosy cottage in Scotland, for a Christmas getaway though!
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I'm no way a pro but I'm pretty particular about it. Give me a box and I'm a whizz, I'm not so good with the awkward shaped ones. Watching Jack wrap presents actually stresses me out though.
Most memorable Christmas moment?
Every year my step-dad makes a Christmas treasure hunt for us kids (yes I know, I'm definitely not a kid anymore, but we still get involved!). He makes clues and hides them around the house, and eventually we reach the 'treasure'. It's ridiculously cheesy, and most people probably think it's sad. But it's our cheesy thing, and we love it.
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
Honestly, I don't remember ever believing! I have two older sisters and I think the magic was lost pretty early on...
What makes the holidays special for you?
Spending quality time with family. I love that Jack's home for a few extra days, and that we can bring the magic alive for the littles. It also wouldn't be Christmas without all the yummy treats and food!
Phewww, done! I absolutely love Christmas and now I've got little ones it's definitely a time that I love even more. I'd love to know how you celebrate too, so I'm tagging:
