Wipe Away your Halloween Horrors with WaterWipes

Tuesday, 10 October 2017

If you're a regular reader of my blog, then you'll know how much I loveee Autumn. The crunchy leaves. Golden hues. And of course the perfect excuse for alllll the pumpkins... it's definitely my favourite season!

With little ones we have of course embraced Autumn for a whole other reason too - Halloween. We've taken Indie trick-or-treating for the last couple of years now. And this year Parker is so excited to be able to come along too. They already have their outfits picked out and treat baskets at the ready; and as Indie is a little older this year we've also bought some face paint to add to the spooky fun.

Did you know that UK residents spent a crazy £460 million on Halloween essentials in 2015*? One essential we'll definitely have at the ready as well is baby wipes. WaterWipes are the perfect addition to a Halloween shopping list! Containing only 99.9% purified water and just a drop of fruit extract, they are brilliant at removing any sticky remains from those Halloween treats or stubborn face paints.

Speaking of face paints, here are some fab tips from removing it:

  • Avoid fragranced wipes as these may irritate your child’s skin. WaterWipes are the perfect go to this Halloween as they are 99.9% purified water with a drop of fruit extract.
  • Generic wet wipes may contain oil extracts which act as a perfect seal to skin pores. Using WaterWipes will ensure that your child’s pores do not become clogged.
  • Do not harshly scrub the paint off – this will only push the paint deeper into the pores which will cause further irritation to your child’s sensitive skin.
  • Gently wiping in a circular motion will be the most effective way to remove stubborn face paint. As children’s skin is much thinner than adults, Midwife, Margaret Merrigan Feenan recommends you use cotton wool and water OR WaterWipes.

Will you be taking your little one Trick-or-Treating this year?

  1. It's surprising how big halloween has got in the UK these days. I was never allowed to go Trick or Treating as a kid because it was "too American", but we went for the first time properly last year. Once my eldest realised she would get sweets just for knocking on someone's door she got really excited. She can't wait to go again this year.

  6. My girls love face paints and are forever doing each others faces, so these waterwipes would be just perfect for them. I've not tried them yet. Mich x
