I remember when I found out I was pregnant, after telling Jack of course, the first person I thought to tell was my sister Gemma. I don't know why but I thought she'd be the most understanding, and as she already had my nephew Freddie, she had been through it before!
Then the weirdest thing happened. The very next day after my doctors appointment confirming my pregnancy (which she came with me to), she told me she was pregnant too! I was in shock, how bloody crazy was this haha!
I was due the 24th November with a baby girl, and she was due 2nd January! We were due 5 weeks, 4 days apart!
It was so amazing being able to share my pregnancy with someone so close to me. There was always somewhere there who felt like I did, and could sympathise with me when I felt like a whale haha.
When Indiana was born on the 26th November, Gemma was one of my first visitors. I think seeing me with my baby definitely made her want her little boy to make an appearance too haha. It was also weird to think this was the first time she was the auntie, as I'd already been one for two and a half years to my nephew Freddie! She now had that connection that I had with him.
Then fast forward 5 weeks, 5 days and little Oliver came into the world (and instantly I was jealous of how teeny tiny he was haha). Jack and I went to visit them in hospital, but it wasn't until Ollie was a week old that the cousins finally met for the first time. It was a shame they lived around 30 minutes away at the time, as we didn't get to spend that much time together during the babies first few weeks.
However, a few weeks ago Gemma moved back to our home town, and is now only a 20/30 minutes walk away from us.. yay! We now spend so much time together, and even go to a weekly baby class together which is so lovely.
My Baby Shower - I was 33 weeks, and Gemma was 27 weeks |

Freddie made the babies look so tiny! |
We have never had a close bond with our cousins so I love that these three (and anymore to come haha), will be the best of friends! It's amazing to see them all grow up and develop, and also see the differences as well. I'm bottle feeding and she's breast feeding, Indie's my first and Ollie's her second, etc.
