Our Year | 2015

2015 has probably been the most crazy, tiring, amazing, brilliant, perfect and absolutely bloody fantastic year ever. Starting out as a mummy of one with a fiance, and ending as a mummy of two and married to the most amazing man... we certainly don't do things by halves haha. I thought it was definitely worth joining in with Lauren at Belle du Brighton to share our year, as there's so much to look back on.

January was a pretty quiet month. Our little baby bump was still a secret between just Jack and I, and to be honest it was getting SO hard to keep! The weather was pretty rubbish, but we managed to enjoy some lovely days out, including visiting our favourite place Knole Park for a walk.

February 2nd is a day I'll never forget, as it's the day we announced we were expecting baby number two, with the help of Indiana of course. The 13 week scan is a memory I'll never forget - and honestly it is something that is just as amazing the second time around! I loved documenting my pregnancy from this very beginning this time, and I started my pregnancy updates this month. At the end of the month we also found of the gender of our little Pip and were thrilled to discover we were expecting a bouncing baby boy.

March was an amazing month for me and my blog. I worked with some fantastic companies including Photobox, and we were lucky enough to go on an amazing break to Bluestone Wales. I also celebrated my second Mother's Day, although unfortunately I did have to work.

We had Jack's birthday on the 2nd and that was about all really haha. I remember feeling pretty ill and was already half way through my pregnancy at this point... crazy!

May was another quiet month filled with work and feeling the strain of my pregnancy. Indiana was a massive grump and terrible sleeper at this point which didn't help haha. Damn you 18 month sleep regression! We were also VERY busy with wedding planning this month, with only 5 months to go we sorted suits, flowers, and lots of little bits.

The weather in June was amazing and we managed to enjoy lots of family days out as a 3 before Parker made his appearance. Godstone Farm was a lovely day, although I do remember getting very burnt haha. I also loved writing this post titled 11 Things. I've been reading back my answers and can now happily say I have my Mac haha.

I was absolutely HUGE, tired and ready to pop by July. That didn't stop me enjoying my Hen Do at the start of the month though. It was a lovely couple of days and relaxing at the Spa was exactly what I needed! Jack celebrated his Stag in Bournemouth the weekend after too. I finally packed and sorted my hospitals bags, and wrote all about what I wanted from my birth the second time around.

One of the most amazing months this year. August 4th our beautiful boy Parker was born a week early. It was the birth I dreamed of and you can read about it here if you haven't yet. Just over a week later I celebrated my 22nd birthday, and he was definitely the best present ever.

With Jack back to work I was adjusting to life as a mum with two under two. It was definitely a shock, but now it's so much easier and natural to me. I wrote all about how the first month went here. I was also busy getting last minutes bit done for our wedding.

The other most amazing month of the year. October 2nd we finally became a complete family when we got married! It was a perfect day and I think it was extra special as both of our babies were there to celebrate with us. We of course went back to Knole this month a few times - it's amazing seeing how much Indiana has changed from the earlier post!

November absolutely flew by this year. Parker turned 3 months old, and we celebrated Indiana's second birthday at the end of the month. I also joined in the brilliant Me & Mine linky for the first time this month (October's post was late haha). I'm really hoping to keep it up for as long as possible.

December was all about Christmas. We visited Father Christmas three times this year haha, including a lovely breakfast with him at Wyvale. We had our first Christmas as a family at four at home, which was also Parker's first too. December 9th also marked a year since we discovered we were expecting our beautiful boy - isn't it crazy what can happen in a year!

Looking back on this year makes me so happy, but also a little sad. It was probably the best year yet and I can't believe it's over already! Although saying that, we are hoping for a little more relaxed year in 2016 haha.

  1. Aaw what an amazing year you had honey! I know what you mean about being abut sad it's over though! Xx

  2. What an amazing year, to be honest I don't think much could top it but I think 2016 should be a lot more chilled for you guys! I love seeing what you get up to as we have a similar age gap and probably have the same struggles!
    Thanks for sharing your year!
