Butlin's, New Friends & A Tooth! | #LittleLoves

This week has been one of the best of the year so far, and I'm so sad it's over! We're so sad to be leaving Butlin's today, and I'm keeping everything crossed we can come back for another adventure soon! Here's what else we've been loving this week..

As we've been away I've not really read anything! Indiana's bedtime routine has been out the window too so I haven't even read any bedtime stories this week.. whoops!

My two have SO much fun! We've watched shows, swam, done arts and crafts, played countless arcade games; and that was just one day of our holiday. One show Indiana loved in particular was Treasure Island, performed by Sid and Rebecca from CBeebies. She got to meet them after which was very exciting. Do excuse her face though, she hadn't been in an accident, it's left over face paint!

We also watched Inside Out for the first time yesterday. I was really excited and thought Indiana might enjoy it, but honestly it was so sad I'm glad she went to sleep half way through! Both Jack and I commented that it didn't seem very happy, and I'd definitely say it was a more grown up film.

Ever since the young girl performed it on Britain's Got Talent last week, I can't get Defiying Gravity out of my head! They even sang it in one of the Butlin's shows, so I couldn't resist singing along. It's a fantastic song, and has made me want to see Wicked again even more.

Indiana made a funky fish at one of the arts and crafts sessions on Wednesday. They even popped it on a stick and added tassels so it looked extra special!

We also watched Indiana make a new friend this week. We have been lucky enough to meet the lovely Alex and her family from Lamb and Bear this week. Indiana and Lamb have been so sweet together, and were running along holding hands Thursday evening! She's been asking for him ever since, so I think he's her new best friend.

I was going to use a picture of myself in a swimming costume for this one, but no one needs to see that! So here's my two in their towels after swimming instead. They're both by Cuddledry (although I'm not sure if the reindeer is still available as it's obviously not Christmas anymore haha). We both thought Parker looked like a little Pacman ghost haha.

And Lastly...

The week was over shadowed slightly by Parker being poorly - Jack ended up at the local hospital's walk in centre with him for his conjunctivitis! He's on the mend though and despite feeling down in the dumps he managed his first swim... AND FINALLY GOT A TOOTH!! Hurray haha!

  1. It sounds like you had such a great break away! There is nothing quite like quality family time x

  2. Looks like you have had a lovely family holiday. I suspect my little girl would love butlins. Sorry Parker wasn't well for some of it.

  3. Sounds like you had a lovely time at Butlins. I'd love to go, haven't been since I was a kid myself! Aww poor Parker, hope he's feeling better soon. Have a great week x

  4. Ahh, so lovely that you've had such a great week! That's so cute that Indiana and Lamb became good friends; lovely photos. I love her fish! xx

  5. It looks like you've had such a fun time at Butlins! We went a couple of years ago and even though she was only 3 at the time E still talks about it and nags me about going there again! xx
