Potty Training at 2 Years Old | Products We Used

If you've not read my previous post all about our potty training journey, definitely go check it out first! You'll know that we've had Indiana in knickers now for over a month, so I thought I'd share some of the products we've used!

Ikea Potty & Step
A potty is an essential tool for potty training (unless you want to go straight to the 'big toilet' - there are loads of special seats you can get for this too).We just got a cheap and cheerful one from Ikea. Nothing fancy, as honestly at the end of the day it's just for pee and poop; it's not a seat! We also have the step in the bathroom so she can wash her hands.

Knickers, Knickers, Knickers!
You really can never have enough, especially as you'll need spares in their bag and at home. Primark have a fantastic selection and they're really reasonably priced. We let Indiana pick out her own from a selection of characters.

We have absolutely loved these, and I'll be doing a full review soon. They go straight into your little ones knickers or pants, and they help children to feel when they have had an accident, while still preventing a huge mess. We use these for trips in the car or long trips where we know there's not a toilet around just in case!

Like I said in my first post, we don't think these are something you should use as the first step. However we do use these for sleep, and we did use them for trips out during the first few weeks of training! They go on like knickers but have the absorbency of a nappy - they have a feature that lets the child stay wet for a little bit of time to teach them, and Indiana absolutely loves the characters.

We have also made sure to have a waterproof mattress protector on Indiana's bed. Oh and don't forget the anti bac spray - you'll need it for the accidents!

  1. I think I need to invest in some pull ups as Scarlett is so good at home but anywhere else she just doesn't concentrate enough! Xo
