Something Special! Mr Tumble Toys | Review

Mr Tumble is one of the UK’s most recognisable and loved children’s characters. He's been hugely popular in our house since Indiana was about 10 months old, and now Parker has fallen for his silliness too.

We already own a couple of the original toys. But Golden Bear have recently launched a refreshed toy collection, featuring five key learning elements to encourage touch, sound recognition, light, texture and dexterity.

We were sent Mr Tumble’s Textured Spotty Bag which retails at £14.99. Bright yellow with colourful textured spots (to stimulate senses), it's been designed to look identical to Justin's. Indiana loves that she has a bag 'just like Mr Tumble' and has been wearing it with pride since it arrived. The strap is adjustable making it suitable for Parker too.

A surprise to me was that there are five word cards featuring Makaton signs inside. They have simple signs with pictures of Mr Tumble - which although probably too young for Parker now, would be great for older children.

We were also sent the Mr Tumble with Fun Tumble Tapp which retails at £29.99. You can explore loads of sounds and phrases by pressing the buttons on the Tumble Tapp - all familiar to your child through the TV show.

If you click the music note button Mr Tumble will also sing 2 different Mr Tumble songs! My two love to repeatedly click this button and dance along. Every tap of the button lights up Mr Tumble's nose which is a lovely added feature.

I was a bit disappointed that the Tumble Tapp didn't come away from Mr Tumble (I thought it may have been Velcroed to his hands). It would turn it into two toys and would make it easier to cuddle - it's not a toy I'd want taken to bed with either of them as it is. Speaking of cuddling though, the hair on Mr Tumble is SO soft!

The toys are just what I expected from the Something Special range. Bright, colourful and lots of fun!  My two definitely give them a big thumbs up, and so do I.

Disclosure - We received these toys for the purpose of this review. However all opinions are honest and my own
