Big Little Lies, Holiday Packing & A Family Portrait | #LittleLoves

I am soooo excited that Friday has come back around again. Not only does it mean the weekend, but it also means our holiday is almost here.. and I cannot wait! We're off to Ibiza for a week of sun (hopefully), relaxing (hopefully) and just a general break from day to day life.

This week has therefore been a blur of packing, and trying to fit in filming / editing. So that I've got bits going up on my blog and youtube channel over the next week. It's probably totally unnecessary, but I just can't let everything go for a week. Is it just me?

I've not read much at all this week. If I've not been packing or playing with the littles, I've been binge watching Big Little Lies - more on that below!

I cannot believe it took me soo long to start watching Big Little Lies. It is SO good! I watched the whole series in about 4 days (and it would have been quicker if I had more 'me time' to watch TV). The cast was fantastic, the storyline was gripping and I definitely didn't see the ending coming. If you haven't already I'd 100% recommend giving it a watch.

Despite only being 3, Indiana comes out with some fantastic conversations. This one really made me chuckle this week:

As mentioned above I've made a start on packing for our holiday - everything is piled on top of the suitcase, I just need to find the energy to properly pack it!

Indiana also came home from preschool with this picture she 'made'. It's the first family portrait she's ever drawn, and I'll be honest and say it made me get all teary (even if we do look a little like potatoes).

This week's dressing up outfit of choice for Parker was as a fairy princess - I think he totally pulls it off! He was shouting 'ribbet' 'ribbet' while waving his wand around, turning us all into frogs too.

And Lastly...

Now I've got through Big Little Lies, I'm on the hunt for another show to get sucked into. Definitely let me know if there's anything you think I should watch next!

Have a lovely week :)

  1. I love those funny little things that children say, yesterday my 3 year old asked if a spider had a big willy ! Big Little Lies was so good, I might re-watch it. Have a great holiday x #LittleLoves

  2. Three is such a fun age, they come out with the best things as they try and figure out the world. I truly wish that I'd written more things down, recording those funny little things they say as there is no way I can remember them now!
Big Little Lies was fantastic wasn't it? Even though I'd read the book and knew the ending I still enjoyed it - which is rare when it comes to adaptations.
    Enjoy the weekend xx

  3. Oo I'll be adding Big Little Lies onto my 'to watch' list, as it sounds right up my street. Holiday packing is such an exciting part of going on holiday - any excuse for a bit of list writing. Lastly, I love Parker's outfit subtle :) #LittleLoves

  4. I loved this #LittleLoves - it really made me smile! I hope you have a lovely holiday. We're going away in a few weeks too and I'm so ready for the break and sunshine; I've been chucking things on top of a suitcase for weeks now because I know I'll end up rushing, but really I think I've just made it worse for myself with a massive pile to go through!

I've heard such good things about Big Little Lies, but I keep forgetting to check it out. I have absolutely no idea what it's about but I really want to watch it!

Such a beautiful family of potatoes! :) I love the hooker comments! Have a great weekend lovely xx

  5. I need to check out Big Little Lies - a few people have mentioned it now. I've only just got through 13 reasons though so I seem a little behind on everything! #LittleLoves
