Christmas Gifts for Toddlers | Christmas 2017

Christmas shopping for Parker has probably been the trickiest this year - two year olds aren't the easiest to buy for! I've popped together this gift guide for toddlers, to hopefully help those who are also finding gift buying for toddlers tricky this year.

LEGO Duplo*

The most played with toy in our house at the moment (and for a long time actually), is probably LEGO Duplo. The bricks are the perfect size for little hands, and with so many different sets to buy the play is limitless! Duplo is also brilliant for creative thinking and role-playing, which are brilliant skills for little ones to develop.

Orchard Toys Animal Shapes Game*

Orchard Toys are another favourite of ours, especially as they combine fun and exciting games alongside learning too! There are a number of games and puzzles suitable for toddlers in their range, including the animal shapes game. It's a simple first colour and shape matching activity (suitable for 18months+). Your child has to match the correct shapes with the matching spaces on the animals. Simple but fun!

SmartTrike T1 Scooter

We've actually had this scooter for a while now, but I know it would have made a perfect Christmas gift! Designed for toddlers as young as 15 months, the scooter has been designed to grow with your child. The T1 scooter comes with a seat for when they're first starting out. This is then easily removed as they gain confidence (and steering can be locked and unlocked depending on their scooting ability too!). You can read my full review here if you want to know more!

If you don't think your little one is quite yet ready for a scooter, then the Toddlebike2 is the perfect alternative. The pre-balance bike is suitable as soon as your toddler can confidently walk, and helps develop key cycling skills as well as being super fun for them! The bike is also extremely light so it's great for taking out and about with you as well. If you use the code BLOG17 you can get 10% off your order on the official Toddlebike Website.

Cuddledry Cuddleroar Towel*

A more practical gift but still one that your toddler would love, the Cuddleroar towel from Cuddledry would make a lovely gift for Christmas. Super soft and cosy, and up to 60% more absorbent than other towels thanks to the bamboo fibres, the Cuddleroar is such lovely quality. We've had a Cuddledeer that still looks brand new almost 3 years later! Plus what toddler wouldn't want to run around pretending to be a dinosaur?

Milkshake! 'Brand New Besties' DVD*

A perfect stocking filler, Brand New Besties is the new DVD release from Abbey Home Media. The DVD features a number of well-loved preschool shows, from the long-running Channel 5 tv show Milkshake! including Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Fireman Sam and Thomas the Tank Engine. The DVD lasts for over 2 hours and has so many episodes, there will definitely be something your little one loves! I know my two are going to love it.

SmartMax 'My First' Animal Train*

Parker is absolutely train obsessed, so the 'My First' Animal Train from SmartMax would be a fantastic gift. Suitable from 18 months+, the fun and interactive toy gets little ones using their imagination and creative skills. The SmartMax bars and metal balls connect the pieces together, to either make the train, safari animals, or they can let their imagination run wild and mix and match to create whatever they desire! What's fab is that all SmartMax sets are compatible with each other, so you can keep adding to the collection.

TinyMe Personalised Puzzles*

Puzzles are such a lovely gift idea for toddlers. Not only are they fun, but they're great for little fingers and learning too. TinyMe offer some lovely personalised children's products, and have recently expanded their range to include personalised wooden puzzles. What makes them extra special though, is that they're double sided (two for the price of one!), and each one comes beautiful presents in a storage pouch to keep all the pieces together. There are loads of designs to choose from and 4 different stages. I chose the 3+ 'Junior' stage for Parker as he's a little puzzle whizz, but there is a 6 piece version for younger toddlers too.

I know Parker would loveee to receive any of these gifts, so I hope this has given you a little bit of inspiration this festive season!

  1. This is a great guide! I know you worked hard to put it together. I know Parker will have a big smile on his face when he receives his puzzle. Have a very merry Christmas!
