30 Weeks Pregnant {Baby Number Three}

12.11.17

30 weeks pregnant and oh my goodness am I feeling it! I feel as if this is another little milestone of pregnancy too. Less than 10 weeks to go (or maybe even less if this little girl arrives early like her big brother). There's still so much to do, and just not enough time...

HOW FAR ALONG?
30 weeks & 3 days

DUE DATE?
14th January 2018

GENDER?
Girl!

HOW’S BABY DOING?
I use the Baby Centre App to check on baby's progress - baby girl weighs around 1.3kg and is just over 39.9cm from head to heel (the size of a cabbage apparently). She's almost at the length she'll be at birth now, but there's still pleeeenty of weight left for her to gain.

I saw my midwife again on Monday (a week early as she's away next week), and it was a brief but lovely appointment. I got the results from my 28 week bloods and unsurprisingly my iron levels are a little low. Thankfully I don't need tablets, but I do need to hunt down some Spatone and alllll the leafy veg! All my other checks were perfect though, and baby girl is now head down too. Fingers crossed she stays there from now on!

WEIGHT CHANGE?
I have absolutely no idea!

SYMPTOMS?
Constant braxton hicks, lightning crotch, rib pain... all the glorious symptoms of the third trimester! I'm basically exhausted constantly too, so I think that's a clear sign that I reaaaally need to slow down (not that that's possible when you have two young children already).

SLEEP?
I seem to go between sleeping through wonderfully, and then waking up loads feeling thirsty or needing the loo. I'm still loving my Theraline maternity pillow though.

CRAVINGS?
I don't think I've necessarily craved anything, but I've been baking loads recently.. so maybe that's my body telling me I want all the sugar?

HOW I’M FEELING?
Really bloody pregnant now. Walking is also becoming increasingly difficult, as I end up feeling as if I've been kicked in the foof afterwards! I lovee being pregnant, but I'm almost near the 'get this baby out NOW' stage.

MISS ANYTHING?
Being able to get up and pick anything from my wardrobe to wear. Once again I have nothing to wear!

FAVOURITE RECENT OUTFIT?
I won't lie... probably my pjs. Nothing fits anymore!!

BEST MOMENT THIS FORTNIGHT?
I'm absolutely loving watching Indie and Parker bond with bump. Parker asks to 'see baby' constantly throughout the day, and loves giving it snuggles and kisses. Indie has decided to name her AnnaElsa (yes.. that's one word), and I just know they're going to be the best big brother and sister when she's born.

LOOKING FORWARD TO?
Getting more prepared for this baby girl. We have a small list of things we need to buy, and then it's just a case of washing clothes and setting everything up. I'm oh so excited to build our co-sleeper and have it ready for her arrival!

You can see how this pregnancy compares to Parker's (my second) here.

16 Weeks Pregnant {Baby Number Three}

5.8.17

When you read this post I'll actually be 17 weeks pregnant, but with so much going on this week it's been hard to find time to sit down, let alone blog! I'm absolutely loving this pregnancy so far, although it's already going far too fast for my liking.

HOW FAR ALONG?
16 weeks & 6 days

DUE DATE?
14th January 2018

GENDER?
We had our Gender Scan today, eek! We asked the sonographer to pop the gender in an envelope though, so we'll be finding out tomorrow (which is today for you!). I'm 100% sure we're having a little boy, but according to all of the gender tests we did, we're expecting a girl. Any last minute guesses?

HOW’S BABY DOING?
I use the Baby Centre App to check on baby's progress - he or she is now the size of an avocado at 11.6cm and weighing about 100grams. Baby's neck muscles and back bones are now stronger, meaning his or her head is more upright, and their body is straighter!

WEIGHT CHANGE?
I don't feel as much has changed this last few weeks, which is good I think. Although baby is apparently meant to have a growth spurt over the next 3 weeks, so there's still plenty of time!

SYMPTOMS?
I am so, so breathless already, which is something that has really surprised me. I know from my gender scan that everything is already pretty high up, so I think that's the reason. I'm absolutely covered in spots, my hair is constantly greasy and I could sleep for a week. But apart from that... I'm feeling pretty good!

SLEEP?
I'm still waking in the early hours to use the loo - and whenever I wake up I'm ridiculously thirsty too, so it's a vicious cycle. Thankfully still on my tummy to sleep though!

CRAVINGS?
ALL. THE. SALT. AND. CARBS. Seriously, this baby just wants me to eat junk! I'm completely off of chocolate though, which is a big change for me. I miss it!

HOW I’M FEELING?
Excited! I cannot wait to find out whether baby is a boy or a girl tomorrow alongside our families. I'm also relieved that all is going well with baby - it was lovely to see them wriggling away on the scan.

MISS ANYTHING?
Being able to walk up the stairs without feeling like I've run a marathon!

FAVOURITE RECENT OUTFIT?
Stripes! I'm pretty sure every store's maternity range only consists of them.

BEST MOMENT THIS FORTNIGHT?
Feeling baby's first movements! I thought I was going crazy when I felt those felt wriggles at 15 weeks - but I've been reassured it's normal with subsequent babies (I also know I have a posterior placenta which helps). I cannot wait until they're really regular and big enough for Jack and the littles to feel.

LOOKING FORWARD TO?
I have my 16 week midwife appointment on Monday, so it will be lovely to hopefully listen to baby's heartbeat. Of course finding out the gender of baby too!

You can see how this pregnancy compares to Parker's (my second) here.

14 Weeks Pregnant {Baby Number Three}

18.7.17

As slowly as those first weeks went, I actually cannot believe I'm 14 weeks pregnant and into the second trimester. I fear this pregnancy is going to over before I know it! Although it's exciting as it means we get to meet our beautiful baby. It's sad, as I know this is going to be my last pregnancy (I really mean it this time!), so I want to savour every last second.

I wasn't sure how I was going to do these updates, as I know I'm quite prone to waffling on. But after reading Life With Mrs Lee's pregnancy updates, I've decided to steal her little questionnaire - hope that's okay Harriet?

So here goes...

HOW FAR ALONG?
14 weeks & 2 days

DUE DATE?
14th January 2018

GENDER?
This has been a question we've been asked a lot since we announced! I honestly think I'm growing another bouncing baby boy, but I guess time will tell. We have an early gender scan booked for a few weeks time which we cannot wait for!

HOW’S BABY DOING?
I use the Baby Centre App to check on baby's progress - he or she is now the size of a lemon at around 8.7cm (from crown to rump) and weighs around 1.5oz. Baby's body and limbs are now growing faster than the head - so by the end of the week they'll be all in proportion!

WEIGHT CHANGE?
I started this pregnancy at the most I've ever weighed, so honestly I don't really feel like tracking my weight. After having such a large bump from early on, it does finally seem to have gone down. I'm excited to watch it grow though!

SYMPTOMS?
I feel so thankful that my symptoms seem to be going away *touches wood* so I'm feeling pretty good. The headaches have eased and I'm no longer constipated, yay! I am completely exhausted though and feel as if I could eat a horse.. but I'll take that over nausea and headaches any day.

SLEEP?
I'm sleeping generally well now the nights aren't so warm, but it's becoming more uncomfortable as each day passes. I'm a stomach sleeper and I'm pretty sure those days are numbered... ah! I'm also waking most nights for a wee, which is rather frustrating.

CRAVINGS?
Nothing specific, I'm just preferring carbs and salty food lately. Still not feeling chicken either... eurgh!

HOW I’M FEELING?
Overall I feel pretty good. Buying the first few bits for baby has made it all sink in a bit more, and I'm so excited!

MISS ANYTHING?
My clothes. Nothing fits already!

FAVOURITE RECENT OUTFIT?
I am loving my new maternity jeans from New Look. They were a little pricey, but my goodness are they comfy. Over the bump is the thing of dreaams.

BEST MOMENT THIS FORTNIGHT?
Announcing our news! I'm still on an absolute baby high.

LOOKING FORWARD TO?
My 16 week appointment and early gender scan. Any pink or blue guesses?

Here's my 14 week update with Parker. I love having these to compare!

The First Trimester {Baby Number Three}

10.7.17

You'd think by now, seeing that this is my third pregnancy, I'd remember what the first trimester is like. But my goodness, did it really hit me again!

I am so thankful to be pregnant, but the first trimester really isn't all that exciting, and it's definitely not all sunshine and rainbows. It's tough. It's exhausting. And it's a pretty worrying time too.

I made notes for each week, so I'll just share a little roundup in the post. However I have filmed weekly updates, from finding out we were expecting, up to our 12 week scan. So If you want to get a proper in-depth look into how I've felt each week, make sure you pop over to our channel to catch up with these.

This pregnancy has definitely been my toughest so far. Although I haven't been physically sick, the nausea, extreme exhaustion and headaches have been awful. I've also been the most anxious I've ever been, and despite having two scans I'm still worrying now. I think that's probably more so because it still doesn't seem real!

My next update will be at 14 weeks, which is already not too far away.
