I cannot believe how late I am with Lilah's update this month! She turned 10 months a few weeks ago now, but with Indiana's birthday and everyone being poorly, it's been difficult to find time to sit down and write. I haven't had time to take her to the weighing clinic either, so I don't have an update on her weight this month. But it has been a really exciting one!

Lilah is definitely growing well and is now fully in 9-12 month clothing. She's still a petite little lady though, and everyone always comments on how small she is for her age. Although what she doesn't have in size, she definitely makes up for in personality. She is constantly chatting and squealing away (she now says mama!), and my goodness does she make herself known when she isn't happy with something. She will stomp her feet at you and tantrum like a teenager when she doesn't get her own way sometimes. And although it's loud and hard work sometimes, can actually be rather cute!

Meal times are still her favourite part of the day, and Lilah loves most things put in front of her. She's getting really good with her pincer grip, and preloaded spoons are a little less messier now. As well as her meals she's still having three bottles a day - although she's not too fussed about her 3pm bottle some days, so I reckon we'll be dropping this one soon.

There have been some huge developments with Lilah this month, and she's quickly becoming a little girl and not a baby anymore. Two more teeth have popped through giving her a total of 8 already. And most exciting of all... she took her first steps! Very quickly she's learnt to stand herself up independently, take 3-4 steps, and can crouch and stand back up again if she falls.

I always knew those first steps weren't far off, but I still couldn't believe it when she did it. And despite Lilah being our third baby, those steps were still just as special. And probably the most bittersweet too, as it feels as if those baby days are coming to and end for the last time. And I don't think I'm ready!

The Siblings Project | June

Just look at these two this month! My gorgeous babies are looking so grown up, and are becoming a right little pair. I love how summery this month's photos are too (although if you looked outside today you wouldn't think it was ever this sunny haha), and they remind me of the lovely afternoon we spent at Ightham Mote.

Despite how these pictures look, we've had a bit of a set back with Indiana this month. I'm not sure if it's jealousy or just her being a 2 year old, but she's been pretty mean this month! Pushing, not sharing, not letting Parker get even remotely close to her... the list goes on. It's such a shame as when they do get along they have such a lovely bond.

Hopefully as Parker gets older, and he learns he doesn't have to be next to Indie at every second, things will improve again. I know deep down she really does love him - the cuddles, concern and slobbery kisses are proof of that. And he really does think the world of her too.

These pictures do seem to capture the best of them though. Parker the cheeky, mischievous little brother. Indiana the protective, loving big sister. Together little partners in crime... who we just know will be giving us lots of trouble in the years to come haha.

Parker's 10 Month Update

Wow, what a month for our baby boy! He seems to have grown and learnt so much this month, and his personality is absolutely shining through. He is cheeky and mischievous and such a joy to be around.

I have no idea how much he weighs, but going by how hard it is to carry him these days, I'm going to say it's quite a bit. He's still in a combination of 6-9 and 9-12 month clothing and size 5 nappies. He's got the most squishable leg rolls, that looked so cute in shorts on our recent holiday!

We've finally managed to drop P's dream feed this month which has made life so much easier. It actually happened accidentally, and he didn't even make a fuss for it once - maybe we should have tried earlier haha. The rest of his routine is still the same, although dropping the dream feed has meant he's taking his other 3 bottles much better during the day. He has two naps a day at around 9am and 1/2pm and will now sleep 7-7 which we are very thankful for. He eats A LOT too, just like his sister did haha.

One thing that does have a major affect on his sleep though, is teething. He now has 2 teeth which look absolutely adorable! His second one popped through on holiday, which resulted in him co-sleeping with us most nights. This has happened most nights when teething is in full swing. Luckily he goes back in his cot after so I just enjoy the sleepy snuggles when they happen.

Parker is completely on the move now - he's climbing, cruising, properly crawling and can go from laying down to sitting up by himself. He can walk along with his push along walker; although it's more of a run these days! He's still wobbly on his feet but can stand for a a few seconds unaided. I wish he would just sit still for a minute as he's into everything now - something that just causes arguments with Indie as she wants to play on her own haha.

We enjoyed our first holiday abroad as a family this month, which P thoroughly enjoyed! He was amazing on the plane, and even learnt to say Mama while we were out there. He's loving playing with toys more now although his favourite thing to do is to play with his big sister.

Indiana's 10 Month Update

10 months old! Double digits and only two months away from turning one... I think I could cry! Saying that though this month has definitely been my favourite by far. She's turning into such a cheeky little lady and her personality is really beginning to shine through. She's a massive daddy's girl, yet when daddy doesn't do what she wants it's mummy she calls instead haha! Her development has taken a HUGE leap and you can really see what she's going to be like as a toddler now. So here's a bit more of her progress.

Weight

So after worrying she wasn't putting on much weight she's back on track. At 42 weeks +1 day (last Wednesday) she weighed 19lbs 7oz. She's still following between the 25th and 50th percentile which is perfect.

Daily

Routine has stayed pretty much exactly the same. Mondays and Fridays she goes to nursery with Jack where she's pretty much in all day (depending on the hours Jack's working). Then Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are our days. We chill, play, see friends/family and do whatever we like. Then the weekends she either spends with Jack when I work or we have family days. She still wakes at 7ish and has a bottle, then breakfast around 9 followed by her morning nap at 10. Lunch is around 12/12.30 and then her afternoon bottle around 2.30 (she's in the process of swapping this for a snack instead), then her afternoon nap at 3. Dinner is at 5.30/6ish, then her last bottle at 7ish and in bed by 7.30!

Bedtime

We have now added a story and brushing teeth into her bedtime routine. As I've said above she has dinner around 5.30/6. Then she will either have a bath or just enjoy some baby TV or playtime. If she has a bath then we'll brush her teeth then, if not we'll do them around 7. Then she has her last bottle of the day either during her story or after. Then she goes straight to bed with her comforter and giraffe and self settles to sleep.

Eating

Eating is exactly the same. She's eating 3 meals a day, as well as a morning and nighttime bottle. Her daytime bottle is hit and miss; if she doesn't take it we usually offer her a snack of fruit or a baby biscuit to keep her going until dinner. She eats for England and we are still amazed by how much she truly eats. For example for dinner she can eat a portion of dinner, fruit, and either a yoghurt or rice pudding... and still be begging for food haha!

Sizes

She's now in a mixture of sizes as she's getting to the awkward in between size. 6-9 months fits still, however it depends on where they're from. Primark and Mothercare bits are getting too snug, although her Next bits still fit ok. We've been incorporating her 9-12 month clothes in as I just can't resist putting her in her new outfits.

Milestones

• New words - As well as mama and dada she can now say hiya, yeah and woo
• Cruising! She started doing this pretty soon after her last update. She's super speedy and walks around the sofas, baby gate, basically anything she can pull herself up on.
• Her two top teeth are on the way in!
• We got her a push along walker and within half an hour she was whizzing around the room. She pulls herself up on it and walks around the whole place with it now. She even holds onto her baby gate and pushes it along the monkey!
• Copying - this may not really be a milestone but she is brilliant at this! She's learnt to splash her legs in the bath from watching Jack, and bangs things if you show her how. She shakes instruments if you do it first, so cute to watch!
• Earlier in the week she stood unaided for about 5 seconds! She's becoming a bit of a daredevil and even let go when holding on herself a few times.
• Climbing stairs! Don't even know how she learnt this as living in a flat we don't have any to practice on haha.
• TANTRUMS! God this little lady is a diva. She's learnt what no means and is not happy when she hears it haha.

Everyone keeps telling us how she's going to be walking soon and although I think so too, I just can't believe it! We're really going to have our work cut out then haha!
