I'm pretty sure I was just typing up Lilah's 6 month update, and now she is 7 months old. I've almost lost track of how many weeks she is (it's 32, I had to google it!), as they all just blur into one these days. They go too fast!

I popped back to the clinic the day Lilah turned 7 months, expecting her to have put on quite a bit of weight. But she's still a teeny tot, at just 16lbs 12oz. She's now in a combination of 3-6 and 6-9 month clothing, and size 4 nappies. Although she is slowly growing out of the smaller bits. She's now got both of her bottom teeth too, giving her the cutest little grin.

This month we finally dropped the 10pm dreamfeed, meaning she has a total of four 8oz bottles a day. She's eating three meals a day now too, which she is absolutely loving! I don't think we've found anything she doesn't like yet, and just like the older two, fruit is her favourite at the moment. She's properly chewing and swallowing the food now too, which I was really surprised about - especially only a month into baby led weaning. But I think it just shows how ready she was to starting her weaning journey!

This last month has been a huge developmental leap for Lilah. She is now sitting steadily, and can get from this position down to crawling with ease. After a week of rocking, she crawls on her knees properly most of the time too. And her newest trick is pulling to stand... and cruising!

There is absolutely no stopping our little bear anymore. She crawls around after you, climbs on everything and everyone, and loves getting into mischief. Thankfully we hadn't taken down the stairgates yet, so we can contain her a little bit! And with her standing, it was time to pack away our beloved Huddle co-sleeper. She's now sleeping in her cotbed, sharing a room with the older two. And for now it's going really well.

Toys such as her jumper, bouncer and snug seat are all tucked away in the corner now, as she just wants to stand instead. And we really don't think walking is too many months away, as she's already taking steps when you hold her hands. She's just too big.

Oh and guess what her first word was? Da-Da of course!

Parker's 7 Month Update

This month has been a big one for our beautiful boy! Yesterday he turned a whole 7 months old. Where the time has gone I do not know, but the amount he's learnt in that short time is amazing, and everyday I can't believe how lucky I am.

I last went to the weighing clinic when he was 28 weeks (he's now 30+4), and he was 17lbs 8oz. He's got the most gorgeous rolls and chins for days - I absolutely love the squidge they seem to get when they start eating but are not yet moving enough. He's still in a mixture of sizes, but I really need to take out his 3-6 month leggings, they're basically shorts on him and I feel terrible haha.

He's having 4/5 bottles during the day, although this will vary depending on how long he naps for and if he's feeling extra hungry one day. Food is still his favourite part of the day. He's loves nothing more than munching away on his meals, and gets very frustrated if you don't give it to him quick enough!

I want to say sleep is improving, but I really don't want to jinx anything. We've had nearly a week of waking just once for a bottle now, and that I think I can live with after months of waking every 2/3 hours... one night he didn't have milk until 5am - an actual miracle! We always try to pop his dummy in / rock him before trying milk. But honestly sometimes we'd just rather feed him as he goes back to sleep much quicker, and seems like he wants it too. He sleeps on his side now too, which is super cute.

We've had some huge milestones this month! Parker now sits very comfortably, and if you sit him down he'll sit there happily playing as long as he has toys in his reach. He can reach and lean forward and steady himself now too. After weeks of spinning in circles he can finally crawl forward! He's an army crawler just like his sister - I call him my little caterpillar because he looks so funny wriggling across the room. We also got our first word this month. I still can't believe he said dada first - so much for being a mummy's boy!

We're still no closer to teeth. We've had awful colds, lots of dribble and even a new trick where he sucks in his bottom lip, which I thought may have been linked to teeth. But nope... still waiting!

I cannot believe how grown up and big he looks now. He's developing and learning so quickly, and I know the next milestone is just around the corner. I'm so excited to watch him learn, but just wish he would slow down a bit. I don't think I'm ready for my baby to grow up just yet!

Indiana's 7 Month Update

I have to say month 6 has been the quickest yet! Maybe it was because we went on holiday, or it's probably simply because Indie does so much more now the days just fly by! So today the 26th marks Indiana's 7th month and here's what she's like now:

Weight

I had Indie weighed last Wednesday (when she was 29+1 weeks) at the clinic. I was a bit surprised to see that in 4 weeks she had only put on 4lbs and is now 16lbs 12oz (although she's probably more now!). The health visitor said this is completely normal now though as they begin to move around more and obviously with weaning.

Daily

We're back into a pretty good routine now. She still wakes up at the same time but will now have a play before her morning bottle. Then it's nap number one and then breakfast once she's woken up. Then it's basically repeated with play/bottle/nap/food for the rest of the day. We now try to make sure she gets food if we're out, and our SnoozeShade means she naps brilliantly when out too! After dinner it's daddy time. He either does bath/bottle some quick cuddles and then puts her to bed around 7.30. Then it's parent time until it all starts again at 7am the next day!

Bedtime

All the same really. Still going to bed at 7.30ish after her last bottle. Now it's warmer and she's bigger we're into new grobags (1 togs for this hot, muggy weather). The big change to this is that last Saturday we stopped the dreamfeed (I'll be doing a separate post on this). It's actually going really well - yes I touched some wood as I wrote that haha - and we are offering water if she wakes up or her dummy. The past 2 nights have been amazing and she hasn't even stirred; keep it up monkey!

Eating

This is the area that has changed the most since last month! We're still on 4 bottles of Cow&Gate Stage 1 a day, where she takes anything from 6-8 ounces. Along with this she now has three meals a day with us. We are baby led weaning so no purees and no spoon feeding here! She's doing it all by herself and it is truly amazing to watch. We're a month in now and she's now learnt how to chew and swallow and boy don't those nappies prove it haha! She has picked it up brilliantly and we are both very proud, especially at how well she spoon feeds herself. I'm doing weekly updates so make sure to check those out!

Sizes

We finally made it into the size 4 nappies woohoo! We also took only 6-9 months clothes on holiday so I decided to just do a complete switch last weekend so she's solely in that size now. I love when I get to bring out the next size as it's like a whole new wardrobe for her haha, especially when you find things you forgotten you've brought.

Milestones

• She now sits like a pro. I used to put pillows around her but now you don't really need to. She has also learnt to go down onto her front from this position too.
• Talking! She babbles away constantly and now says 'dada' 'baba' etc
• Moving progress - As well as going round in circles she now moves backwards haha. I found her behind the sofa yesterday!
• Teeth!! She now has 2 teeth which are so so cute.
• She now puts her hands up when she wants picking up (I admit I now pick her up continuously as this is so stinking cute! haha).
• She went on her first holiday and plane journey and even used her big girls buggy!
• Standing up - She can now stand if holding on/leaning against something as well as by just holding her hand.
• Eating is a massive one. She's loving food and has pretty much enjoyed everything we've given her so far

I think that's about it for her this month, it's been a busy one! Now she's sitting up and interacting more we got her some 'grown up toys' including a teapot with the most irritating songs haha, but she loves them. She loves to make music too, and will happily shake a maraca or play with her rainmaker... such a clever girl! She has also finally started to notice animals too, and found my parents cats absolutely hilarious last week.
