The last time I shared an update on Lilah she was 18 months old and just blossoming into a toddler. She's now a few months into her second year, and my goodness has she grown and developed so much since then. She's definitely a fully fledged toddler now - and boy do we know it!

We had her two-year review a few weeks ago where we managed to get updated weight and height measurements. She is roughly 12.7kg (around 27lbs) and 86.5cm tall, putting her on the 50th percentile for both. She's always been little miss average so it's good to know she'll still following that curve. She's still fitting into a few size 1 1/2 - 2 years clothing, but we've mostly switched over 2 - 3 years (although it is still a bit big at the moment), and wearing size 6f shoes. We've nearly finished teething forever as she now has nearly all of her teeth through.. hooray!

In regards to the review she's doing absolutely amazingly. Excelling in nearly every aspect, and developing exactly how she should. Lilah can count to 10 (and knows a few more too), jumps with both feet off the ground, climbs everywhere and everything, and still thinks she can do whatever the older two are doing. I love that she's so independent with her play but still enjoys the company of other little ones - although as with most 2 year olds we are struggling with sharing. Her speech is still surprising me daily too. She can have conversations now and is talking in full sentences a lot of the time. Toddlers really are amazing!

Her routine is still very similar to 6 months ago, except we have stopped her morning beaker of milk and her nap is usually a little shorter. We get out nearly every morning, whether it's to a playgroup, the park or for a hot chocolate and cake (she loves a trip to the coffee shop!), and then use our afternoons for relaxing and naps. She's still in her cot for now as she's sleeping so well, but I think we may start thinking about making the switch to a bed in the next few months. We're also planning on potty training very soon too as she's giving us all of the signs that she's ready.

Lilah loves to sing and dance, do puzzles, watch Peppa and Butterbean's Cafe, dress up, read books, playing babies, gingerbread men (at the coffee shop with mummy), playgroup, her big brother and sister, and her muzzie and dummy. She dislikes a lot of vegetables, going in the buggy when she wants to walk, brushing her teeth, sharing her toys, and getting told off (for copying her mischievous brother!).

I absolutely love this age as they really do grow and change every single day. Yes the tantrums may be strong and she's getting cheekier by the minute, but I really wish I could keep her this age forever. Stop growing so fast my little Lilah Bear!

Parker at 2 1/2 Years Old

I used to love write monthly updates about my littles, but of course as they got older these got less and less. So I thought as Parker is now over 2 1/2, it was time to share a little update on him! He has changed so much since his second birthday. He's definitely more of a little boy now than a toddler, not only in his looks but with his development and personality too.

Parker talks constantly, and there's only a few words that we struggle to understand now. He can have full conversations with you, and boy can he argue! He's definitely picked up some cheeky phrases from his big sister, and we're currently well into the 'why?' stage. He is still incredibly shy when it comes to strangers talking to him though. He can be chatting away and then as soon as someone talks (or sometimes just looks at him), he shuts down and hides away.

Development wise he's coming on in leaps and bounds. He can now count up to 15, and thanks to the help of his big sister, he is really trying with his alphabet and shapes. At the start of January we enrolled him at the same Preschool as Indiana, for a couple of mornings a week. I was worried he'd feel a little lost, as he's never really spent time apart from myself or Jack. But he absolutely loves going! He's settled in so well, and you wouldn't think he was one of the younger ones there.

Another big milestone for Parker, is that we have taken him out of nappies. We completely followed his lead with potty training, and he has taken to it really well. He started at the beginning of December just before Lilah was born, and I will say we have noticed a regression since she arrived. We're still persevering though as he's doing so well in general, I just hope he settles back into it a bit more now Lilah isn't so new.

Parker still has his cheeky personality, and my goodness have we been experiencing the 'terrible twos' in full force. We thought he was bad before his second birthday, but he has really taken things to the next level over the last few months. Not listening, doing 'naughty' things on purpose, annoying his sister... the list is endless! He is generally such a sweet little boy though, and loves nothing more than cuddles and kisses - especially with his sisters.

Parker loves to sing and dance, preschool, running wild and free, being silly with daddy, allllll the food, and being a new big brother!

Parker hates sitting still, being out in the cold (he's not loving this winter weather at all!), talking to people he doesn't know and being told what to do...

Parker's 2 Year Update

So our beautiful boy Parker is now two. A fact that I'm still completely in denial about (and probably will be for a loooong time). We celebrated his birthday with a trip to the London SEA LIFE Aquarium, and then had a family bbq at our house a few days later. Nothing overly fancy, but I know he would have been happy to play with his presents all day at home anyway!

I haven't had any official stats done on Parker in a very long time now - but I'm hoping to see where he's at when we have his 2 year check in a few months. He's in a combination of 1.5-2 and 2-3 year clothing (depending on the store) and is a size 6G in shoes. He's got 20 teeth, although we've had a few rough teething days with those last pesky molars recently. He's already had about 3 haircuts too which is mad. His hair is SO thick and grows fast, so I think he'll need another soon too.

Routine-wise nothing much has changed for the last few months. He wakes around 6.30/7am, has 3 meals and 2 snacks a day, naps around 1-3pm and bedtime is at 6.30/7pm. He still has a cup of milk at bedtime, and is very much attached to his muslins and dummy - although we try and keep these for nap / bedtime only now.

Development wise, this past month has seen Parker blossom completely. He can count to 10 and down from 5, can recognise a few colours and knows where all of his body parts are. He's still learning new words each day - some which take us by surprise sometimes. He's basically a little sponge of knowledge!

He's definitely more physically able compared to mentally though. He's been able to jump with both feet off of the ground for a few months now, and climbs with absolute ease. He's got a pretty good kick and throw on him too. It's amazing to see just how different he is to his big sister, who was (and still is) very much more into learning and sitting quietly with toys. He is getting better at playing, but being still is not his thing at all.

This month Parker has been loving Paw Patrol - he's absolutely obsessed! He can name all of the characters, has the toys and would happily sit for hours watching it. He still loves cars, trains and buses, and Blaze is another favourite TV character. We got him garden toys for his birthday which have been played with almost daily since. He's also enjoyed visiting the dinosaurs at our local shopping centre!

Turning two has definitely brought on the 'terrible twos' with a vengeance. P is cheeky, stroppy and oh so stubborn. He will fight for what he wants, and isn't scared to throw a tantrum wherever we are. Although this sometimes make days harder, I absolutely LOVE watching his little personality develop... just maybe with less of the attitude though please P?

I cannot believe this is the last monthly update I'm going to share about Parker. These two years have gone so quickly, and I've loved documenting his growth each month. I will definitely still be doing updates every 6 months / year like I now do with Indiana though. I don't want to forget a moment of him growing up!

Indiana's 2 Year Update

Can you believe it, our little girl is 2 years old! It's crazy to think I started this blog with her 3 month update, and now I'm writing about her turning 2... time sure does fly. So Indie turned 2 on the 26th November 2015. We celebrated the day as a four, with birthday cake for breakfast, presents, soft play and a yummy lunch out - perfect for us!

Where we live we don't have 2 year checks until they're 2 years 3 months old, so unfortunately I don't have any stats (but I'll try to remember to add them when I get them!). She is however in 1.5 - 2 year clothing, has size 5 feet and is still pretty short haha. She still has 20 teeth - which according to the dentist are perfect.

Things she loves at two are: colouring, stickers, puzzles, her baby and pushchair, dancing, singing, role play, Bing, Minions, bananas, chicken, her Toddlebike2, jumping, running, playing with her little friends at nursery, water play, playdoh, and lots lots more.

Indiana loves to talk, and chats away constantly now. You can have a conversation with her and understand a lot of the words, and she's been making sentences for a while. We love hearing her little voice develop; even if it's when she's shouting 'stop it' or screaming 'noooo!' at you haha. Her current favourite is Christmas! She's even started singing which is simply THE cutest thing in the World (although I do wish she'd move on from twinkle twinkle haha).

Her eating has definitely improved, which I'm hoping will continue. She's no longer in her highchair and eats like a big girl at her little table. She's also trying more food and refusing less which I'm SO happy about. She does seem to eat more things at nursery than at home though, which is really strange. Jack even witnessed her eating cucumber and asking for more - something she would turn her nose up at at home!



Sleep wise we have always been blessed with an amazing sleeper. Indie sleeps 7-7 with a nap after her lunch, usually between 1-3. She loves her toddler bed and has taken to climbing in with as many of her toys as possible - currently it's bunny, minion, Bing and her slumber hippo. She's now sharing her room with Parker which has gone amazingly well (she doesn't even stir when he wakes in the night).

She is such a loving, cheeky, bubbly little madam. She has the dirtiest laugh which is simply infectious and she has us in stitches a lot! She does have quite the temper on her though and does love to get her own way. The strops can be pretty intense haha, but that's just a two year old for you! Most of the time though she's an absolute delight and I couldn't be any prouder of my little girl.
